WELCOME Our New Priest
St. Gregory’s Episcopal Parish of Littleton is delighted to announce the calling of Reverend Elizabeth R., “Liz” Costello as our new Priest. She will begin her service at St. Gregory’s on September 1, 2019.
Rev. Costello brings significant experience in a wide variety of postings. For the past two years Liz has served as the Associate Rector at St. Thomas Church, Whitemarsh, in suburban Philadelphia. Some of her previous positions include: Interim Associate Rector at Christ Episcopal in Ridgewood, NJ; three years as Curate of St. John’s Cathedral in Denver; and a season as the Chaplain-in-Residence at Cathedral Ridge in Woodland Park, CO.
Originally from North Carolina, Reverend Costello holds a Masters in Sacred Theology (STM) from Yale Divinity School, and a Masters of Divinity (MDiv) from Duke Divinity School to go with her BA from East Carolina.
Per St. Gregory’s Senior Warden Bill Kreidler, “after a prayerful and thorough search process we are very excited to welcome someone as Christ-centered as Liz, with the deep knowledge, and energy that Liz brings to us. The whole parish is looking forward to working with Liz to shape St. Gregory’s for the future.”
Rev. Costello added, “the St. Gregory’s community has a great foundation and I’m thrilled to be a part of leading the parish family on the next steps of our faith journey.”
Rev. Costello and her husband, the Rev. Joseph Wolyniak, their three year-old daughter, Evelyn, as well as a forthcoming late spring newborn, will be moving to Colorado in August.
Joe will be joining Christ Church, Denver, as an Associate Rector. Please join us to welcome our new pastor on March 24. Rev. Costello will join us for both services and a potluck brunch. Come roll out the red carpet!
